1. Data We Collect
- Account: Email, name, date of birth, sex
- Profile: Diocese, parish, sacramental frequencies, patron saints, devotions, ministries, Mass schedule, bio
- Activity: Likes, matches, messages
- Technical: IP address, browser type (via Supabase Auth)
2. How We Use Your Data
- Connect you with Catholics who share your sacramental life
- Generate profile embeddings for similarity matching
- Facilitate conversations between mutual matches
- Suggest meet-at-church locations
- Enforce safety (blocks, reports, moderation)
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Profile information is visible only to other authenticated users during discovery. Messages are visible only to conversation participants.
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
- OpenAI: Profile embedding generation (text only, no personal identifiers sent)
- Vercel: Frontend hosting
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, profile data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@catholicsocialmatch.com.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security ensures users can only access their own data. We follow OWASP security guidelines.
